Not downloaded for abit so need some help with these 4 wave games, just want to no if my firmware will play theses new games ive got ver 1.51 do i need to reflash it? whats this boot disc for? how do i go about stealthing these games if i download a proper version of the game will it be safe on line?

no game is ever safe online. only an idiot would play online. cut some more lawns and clean your room. then buy it.

if it's hitachi 1.51 you should be ok, if not the only way to get it working is to upgrade to 1.6 and use the one shot boot disc or upgrade to 1.61 (not available on liteon)
i would say even if it is stealthed, it may not be safe yet.(wait til it's after release date)
the only other way is to patch the game with another wave, a big no no if you intend on using live :)

so it wont work with 1.51? do i still verify it with xbgx360? if i get the 1.61 flash put on it will work and be fine without this boot disc. will it be ok online

yeah it will work fine with 1.61, i'd wait a while before going online, but saying that there are a few ppl across other forums i go to that have recieved the pre ordered mw2 games already to miss the postal strikes so it may be alright.

there are guides on the net telling you how to tell which drive you have, or ask who ever modded your console before.

I have a Lite-On with 1.51
I do not intend to play MW2 early, but I certainly want to play it when it comes out. From what I am reading on here, it seems that 1.51 is no good to play Wave 4 games (assuming MW2 is wave 4). However, after reading this post, it suggests that as long as the game checks out fine in ABGX, it is ok to play a wave 4 game with 1.51.

lite-on 1.51 will not boot wave 4 games (unless you patch it=banned)only 1.51 hitachi can boot wave 4, your best bet is to just upgrade to 1.6 and use the activation.iso or wait for 1.61 lite-on to be released
