Just flash one of the drives with the 1.6 iXtreme! It has 0800 mode built into the firmware, so you don't need to have a specific drive just for ripping games. Yes, you can just use JungleFlasher to flash the drive.

You need a VIA 6421 sata card to rip from your BenQ.
You need a connectivity kit to power your BenQ (or use the Xbox for power).
You need to use XBC to (not JungleFlasher) to rip your games.
JungleFlasher is used to flash the drive that is inside your 360, to enable it to read backups.

He only needs a VIA card if his system doesn't have nForce chipset for SATA.

yea i have the connectivity kit and i know how to flash using JF. but my question was do you use JF to flash the 0800 onto the benq or liteon drive (does the keys matter). i also heard that you can use the iextreme 1.6 but in order for your pc to recognize it you have to turn drive off/push drive half way/ect.

If you've uninstalled your SATA drivers to flash it, you will obviously need to reinstall these drivers before windows will even look for the drive!

just a thought;

If you have a separate 360 drive that you will use for the sole purpose of ripping games, then no, I do not believe the drive key matters.

Of course, if you ever want to use that drive in a 360, you will need a legit drive key that matches the one stored on the motherboard.
