Hi All, I've just had the basic Digital TV Package installed by Virgin, as my analogue service was switched off, so I just upgraded to digital. This new box has a smart card, something I haven't had before or read much about, I just wondered is it ok to still use my Starview 2 box at the same time? I have a splitter already, but didn't want to start the starview straight away as I'm sure I remember reading about Virgin could possibly find out that the starview is running at the same time aswell as their Cable box? Just want to be sure really, before I connect anything up, appreciate any help.
Got Ip address and other settings on here aswell, definitely ok to connect the starview? What was all that talk about smart cards, or iptv will stop starview, eurovox? Sorry, don't fully understand it, just wanted to make sure with some of you experts!
you will be definatly ok to use the starview. as for IPTV, it seems now that Vermin will be using Nagravision 3. nobody knows how long before it will affect viewers in the UK if at all and how long before there is a fix if there is going to be one. we will just have to wait and see. hope this helps.

Hi could you please tell me what you mean by IP address and other settings please mate. I'm looking for the settings and IP address for my Motorola modem.

IPTV is currently being tested in the south of england and Nagra 3 rollout has begun, you will be OK to use the SV as it wont effect or interfere with your BBand,
Regarding modems, you would be better off posting in the relevent section to get a better answer or help
