Just got back from a local Wal-Mart and I just wanted to say that the gift card can be used both in stores and online. It appeared that the site said it was a online only gift card but I asked the store manager and she said I could use it anywhere... and the card says so on the back too. So, it's a great deal!

Oh and if you want one, you better hope to your god they got any left. The store I was out sold out while I was in line, that was just 30 minutes after the sale started. I heard from a friend who has gone to two stores in his city with no luck, even said there was a fight for the last one. NPD data for Nov will be good for MS. :D

Do you need to bring the ad with you or is the deal being actively promoted at the store?

Also -- any tried a BestBuy price match yet? Just in case Wal-Mart is out of stock...

I'd rather have a $100 gift card from Wal-Mart, where at least I can buy groceries, than Best Buy, where my options are limited to toys.

thanks for the heads up on this deal, I wanted to pick up a new 360 for my son as an xmas gift and for $100 it's a super buy. I just hope I can get to the store befor they sell out.
