This may sound noobish but since I seem to have survived the hammer I figured I'd ask opinions. I have a modded system using ixtreme v1.6 but I also have a non-modded system. My general rule is that I have retail copies of any game I know I'll play on XBL. All of my single player games are back-ups. Now, I play my copies on the modded system and I am signed into my profile when I do so. I earn achievements which are tied to that profile. Now, when I go online I take my HDD to my non modded system and sign into live, then I play my reatil games online. Now obviously, the second I sign in my achievements are uploaded to XBL. Now I do make it a point to never play games before release date, offline or online and I always use abgx (level 3) to verify before I burn. I absoultely never play a game that has not been fully verified via abgx...ever! My question is, do you think that it is possible for M$ to see that the achievements I got were from back-ups even though the only system that connects to XBL is the non-modded system? They'd obviously only be able to ban my GT in this case since my modded system never connects to XBL. Does this sound correct?

They can't tell if the achievements came from a modded or unmodded system. They can't tell if a system is modded at all, except by means of people playing bad backups, as far as we know.

For that reason, there really is no point in having one 360 to go on Live and another to not go on Live. You may as well always use your modded system, and if it ever does get banned, just mod the other one.

What about if you played a pre released game on a banned system?

Could going onto live before the release date warrant a ban as well since you have earned achievements for a pre released game?

And is there anything from a banned hard drive when used with a non banned 360 that could cause a ban on it?

Thanks in advance and I do remember glancing over similar questions before but can't seem to correctly find it again.
