if your running 1.5 why do you care about 1.41? just put 1.61 on it and be done.

patch it to wave 3, or upgrade you're firmware.

i dont want to bother with having to reflash everytime a new wave comes out. Thats the only reason. The only way i am able to reflash my xbox is with a floppy iprep and i worry all the time about it. So i would rather a firmware that doesn't care about flashing and since i dont use live i dont care about the security

If you're already banned then use an old non-stealth firmware that doesn't have strict compliance with video waves.

If you patch your games, then if you ever get another console and decide to flash it and play online, those patched games are going to be useless. It's better to just change the firmware IMO (assuming there is a non-stealthed firmware for the BenQ.)

It seems there is. Just Googled it and found this: -

Quote:
Benq iXtreme 1.41 Rev 2 Non-Stealth Multispeed

The Non-Stealth users of the Benq iXtreme firmware only had one choice speed wise when they chose the Non-Stealth firmware and that was 8x. This package gives users of Benq iXtreme Non-Stealth the choice to use whatever speed they prefer (2x, 5x, 8x, 12x).

This is NOT an update to iXtreme firmware for Benq users...this is merely an update to the Non-Stealth version which only provides different speed choices NOTHING else.

Credit goes to C4E and others, it was named Rev 2 to avoid confusion.

yeah i still plan on actually patching the games. I just worry about the updating of the firmware especially through the floppy. I just want to flash and forget about it. I just want to make sure that mw2 works.

I just know that next year will be a wave 5 and i dont want to go through this again.
Thank you so much
