I just got my box back after sending it to Germany for RMA. My Sammy MS28 got replaced with a LiteOn 74850C and since I don't have any ck3/probe (or whatever that will do that job) I needed an other solution to get my box modded again.

I found an old drive of mine, a Sammy MS25. This one was already modded so i had my old key. I flashed the MS25 with the new Ixtreme 1.61 and spoofed it as a LiteOn.

I just tried to play a copy of COD:MW2 but all I get after loading the disc is a white screen with the Xbox logo.

My question is, is the copy bad? I cannot try any other game since they are all my GF's home. Do i need that active.iso ?
Or is MS changing the keys ?

Thanks in advance buds :)

Alright, I just bumped into this:

Whats going on? Why does it say MS28 if the sticker on the drive clearly says MS25? It worked before..

Which version of MW2 did you download? iXtreme 1.61 has strict compliance with waves 1-4, but several versions of MW2 are floating around that have a patched video wave that doesn't match any known waves, which is why it won't boot directly on iXtreme 1.61. It could be that the key has changed - I dunno about that - but post an abgx360 log of your MW2 and I can tell you if it's not wave 4.

I believe the only good copy of MW2 is the RROD release at the moment... all others were missing stuff and some were just patched

You probly got a differt motherboard back so it has a differt dvd key then your orginal so you would need to extract the key from the liteon.

I found a legit disc and a backup:
Results:

With Sammy:
Both discs result only in a white screen with a XBOX logo and nothing more.

Wite liteon:
This disc is for XBOX360 and not for a movie player (or something) with a backup and the legit just works fine.

So i guess i have to find a guy who can dump the liton for me.

A question about modding LiteOn: do i still need circuits and probes to update the f/w once i obtain the key of the liteon?
