can I remove a brick blocker patch?

When I patch games with WiiBrickBlocker it stops the game starting up. On the wii channel it will show that the game is in (Pro Evolution Soccer 2009) but when I click the game the screen goes black and the wii freezes. How can I remove the patch? I ask this as I burned this game ages ago unpatched which worked. I binned it though because at the time I thought that you must avoid the update on the disc.

If I cant remove the patch on the pro evo file, would downloading a newer game and leaving the update on that (and accepting the update) make pro evo work (as the wii firmware will have been updated).
