I downloaded and burnt a copy of it and just says play dvd. I do have IX 1.61, any idea why this won't play?

This is what I get in abgx360

Probably a combination of being Wave 4 and not being in the database yet (it hasn't been released retail yet).

Try using the activate disc. It isn't just for wave 4, but forces the firmware to load any game, regardless of stealth status.

I'm running 1.6 and the game came up as play dvd. I used the activate iso disc and it plays fine.

I'm running 1.61, not supposed to need the activate .iso.

Oh well, i'll download the Rrod version on the weekend, that uploader seems to have good rips

Like I say, I assume the issue is not wave 4, but the stealth of the disc.

But why worry about a different version of the game when you are already playing an unverified rip?

Maybe it is a stealth issue but I need to download a different version because this one won't play, just says play dvd in the drive and thats it.

you should try to make the wave 4 into wave 3, then it will probably work in ur system.

That's your problem. That's not the CRC of the wave 4 video partition, which is always the same in every wave 4 release. You've downloaded one of the patched versions. iXtreme 1.61 has strict compliance with waves 1-4 and as this isn't any of those, that's why it won't boot.

This is the result you should always get for a wave 4 game in abgx360: -

Quote:
Video CRC = 1914211B (V0 = 29D07E66, V1 = EAE76B94)

If you download the RRoD scene release, it has the correct video partition and will therefore boot directly on 1.61 without using activate.iso. I still wouldn't play it until it verifies though, but that's up to you.

So those Video CRC numbers will always be the same? And I have an offline console now so I am not worried about playing games early.

Yep. All wave 4 games have the same Video CRC. If you look in your abgx360 stealth files folder, you'll see 3 (or 2 if you haven't downloaded the wave 3 video file) files: -

Video_0E58FB9D.iso
Video_66D0CB54.iso
Video_91410773.iso

Those are the video files for waves 1-3, used to repair ISOs if the video file is corrupt or missing. There's no wave 4 file yet because abgx360 hasn't officially been updated to support it.

There's only 4 possible video partitions including wave 4, therefore there's only 4 possible video CRCs.

Yeah I did what the instructions were for it and ran the disc through abgx and the video doesn't match. But now I am using Xbox Backup Creator to get an image of it and run it through, maybe abgx will fix it.

That's because you've downloaded the RRoD scene release. Look at the video CRC from your log: -

Quote:
Video CRC = 1914211B (V0 = 29D07E66, V1 = EAE76B94)

The video CRC from every wave 4 game: -

Quote:
Video CRC = 1914211B (V0 = 29D07E66, V1 = EAE76B94)

Perfect match.

The video CRC from the version that gcooldude downloaded: -

Quote:
Video CRC = D28A9228 (V0 = 18066DD3, V1 = 11F8FAFC)

Totally different.

abgx360, even that version that nkirk is using with wave 4 support, will not be able to fix that problem, because you don't have the wave 4 ISO in your local stealth files folder.
