Ok, so I'm gonna get a new Xbox 360 Arcade this weekend but before I do, I want to clarify some things.

1. Are the Lite-on 83850c (made after AUG 2009) and the 93450c the only non moddable drives?

2. Is there a possible fix in the making for any of the two drives? (I'm not in a hurry to mod mine)

3. What are the chances that I get a nonmoddable drive when I buy my 360 on Nov. 14.

As far as I understand 83850c before AUG 2009 can be flashed. 83850c after AUG 2009 and 93450c can not be flashed.

You will more then likely get 1 that is not modable but you never know. You might get lucky and the place you get it from could have older stock still in.

Try and buy one from somewhere that doesnt have a huge turnover in selling them - older stock - get them from a supermarket as opposed to game etc. But yeah above post is 100% correct

Your best shot would be to look at the actual units at a brick and mortar store and to not order it online.
