i need some help.
i have a 1tb.hard drive and used easeus partiton manager to partiton
my hard drive.i have the first partition around 120 gb and the 2nd partition around 830gb.(to use for my wii games).i used wbfs manager3.0 to format my larger drive. (when i patition the larger part of the hard drive i labeled it drive A.)when i opened wbfs manager to format the drive you could see the A partition so i formated it. so for so good right, not.after i formated it i installed a game though wbfs manager.hooked up my hard drive to wii opened up usb loader 1.5 pressed a to load the hard drive and no game was showing.so i installed one of my wii games through usb loader and the game was present.(good right). now i place my hard drive back at mt computer open up wbfs manager and no hard drive A could be found not even the game i installed through usb loader.is there something i did wrong or is the a different way to set this up (sorry for the novel)
thanks again for everybodys help

First of all, A is a reserved drive letter. A: and B: are reserved for bootable devices and I don't even understand how you were able to do it. Unless you just gave the Volume the name A as a label.

(I know that's what you said in your post but it doesn't make sense to me)

Did you use the "outboard" port on your Wii? Only the outboard port can be used for HDD.

When you plug your drive back into the PC does the drive show up, irrespective of any drive letters assigned?

how do you outboard port your wii? yes when i plug in my hard drive to my computer it shows the drives, until i hook it up to my wii
in usb loader it tells me i need to format to wbfs after it does that it swips my hard drive and i lose all my games.i tried to let it do it's thang and then hook it up to my computer and then, there are no drives showing. i followed so many forums about this and just don't know what to do now!! some say to format both partitions to fat32, some say not to format the partition your using for wii iso games plus do i use the first partition or the second partition.
i even bought the hard drive everybody recomended.is there a great
guide on how to do this.( one that works). the bad thing is i backed up all my wii games onto my computers hard drive and gave my games to my cusion. if somebody could help me that would be great!

I had trouble with many of the usb loaders out there until I tried configurable usb loader. It started recognizing my HD everytime using that program.

No you don't have to delete anything. You can run it from homebrew channel or install a channel forwarder. I would recommend just running it from homebrew first to see if you like it. Hell, you could load every usb loader out there on your sd and try them all.

You can simply delete any channel you have installed by going to data managment then channels on your console and select delete channel.
Secondly you could probably try making sure that when you partition
your drive you make the two partitions fat32.(you need the format to start as fat32) Then go to wbfs manager and format the first section as wbfs and leave the second as is. load one game from your pc to the drive using wbfs manager. And go to your console and load usb loader GX (in my sig for download) All should work just fine. Then if all is fine you can finish loading the rest of your games to the drive from the pc.
Good luck

What Dailun means is that you need to use the usb port closest to the outside of the console not the one closest to the middle. As it runs as 2.0 speed and the other is at 1.1

You would be better using the wad you used to install the channel to UNinstall it, using the data management just removes the channel but leaves all the tickets and other space using junk on you wii.

If you have trouble making a large FAT partition just NTFS it, WBFS formats either FAT or NTFS.

I named mine Wii games (for WBFS) and Wii movies etc (for FAT) you can name them whatever you like bud.

For your HBC to read a prog it needs to be in a folder titled apps on the root of your sd or usb.

within the apps folder you should have other folders named for each prog and within each folder you will usually have a boot.dol (for the prog) a .xml file and an icon.

Hope that was clear enough bud.

thanks for all your help
in Configurable USB Loader there are two files (apps and usb-loader)
i now know where the apps file goes (in the apps folder on my sd card).but where does the usb-loader file go (this has code, covers, resources, themes) folders in it. okey one last question.instead of spending lots of time installing this program (trying) what is the best usb loader for my needs.as in this post lots of my games are on my computers hard drive so i need to transfer all my games to my wii hard drive using WBFS Manager, plus i would like to download my wii covers from the usbloader (via the internet)not on my sd card ( to time consuming, to many games)
thanks again
