I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I had a modded box that got caught online last year. I also have a legit box that I use for live. I've been using it to play games offline and just recently was looking at ways to transfer my saves to from the modded box to the legit one without all the hassel of using other methods ive seen on here.

Anyway I ended up plugging my legit 360's hardrive into my modded one. I played call of duty, and then swapped them back. My game not only saved on my profile, but also updated my gamerpoints.

Both hardrives have the same gamertag on them...in the past i had to recover my gamertag etc to do this. Am I tripping or is this me looking like a noob?

youre a noob. you can always switch HDS back and forth between consoles and it will update your GS when signed into live.

well thanks i feel like an idiot now. For some reason in the past when i tried this i thought my saves didn't transfer...Do you know how many gamer points im missing out on right now ugggghhh. I guess ill go back into the ban wave forum and get my learn on.
