has anyone done this? if so have you returned it with the custom fw? i still have warranty through microsoft and through the store i bought it from. im thinking of returning it to the store but i dont know what happens to those xbox's. i guess i want to know if they make their way back to microsoft.

Well your warranty is voided from when it was opened to be flashed so unless you have some idiot workers at your store they wouldnt let you return it.

I doubt any worker on min wage is going to open up your xbox and check if the sticker been removed anyways you can buy a new sticker for £6 on ebay. If your willing to pirate games then you shouldn't have a problem with this. Won't cost the store anything just M$.

well my warranty sticker is perfectly intact so if they would check they wouldnt tell. and anyways i have a 2yr warranty with the store. the only thing im not sure of is if i should return it modded or have someone reflash the stock fw before i take it

it depends because the store where you bought it from may have your name and your address. they will send the banned system back to microsoft and they will find out that you modded yor system and it was banned. They may put a flag on ur name.

welll, what my modder does for me here in the uk. is he buys a used 360 from a shop then swaps the guts and takes it back the same day. not problems. cept that the console is banned. kinda sucks but didn't cost me much. cheapest way.

thats what im worried about. i can just have it reflashed to stock fw and if microsoft gets it they would just see that the warranty sticker has been messed with. but since i have warranty with best buy i should be able to take it back. i'm stuck on what i should do

Not likely in my opinion. M$ haven't time to worry about one console and tracking someone down to flag there name. Your safe to return it Bill Gates won't come knocking on your door or anything.
