So I got my Netflix PS3 disc today and I must say I am pretty Impressed. The interface is pretty sweet. Its not as smooth as the 360 tho but maybe its because my PS3 is using wifi instead of hard wired like my 360. It doesnt take long to load but its not lighting fast either.
The stream quality is really good. There are a lot of info and details about the content unlike the 360. Im still messing around with it so I havent really checked out all of its features.
What do you guys think?
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

I'm waiting to hear good things about it as you have mentioned. I will need to upgrade to 20M dsl before signing up. Got 1.5M at the moment. So, for @ $9 you can dl all you want?
I could go to netflix sight and find out but I like being spoon fed.
Edit: hold the spoon, i looked at netflix, $11 for BluRay plan with unlimited streaming. That's ok.
I still guess 1.5M dl is too slow?

Netflix has multiple streaming options that autoselect themselves. IF your internet isn't fast enough for high quality, it streams medium, if it isn't fast enough for medium, it streams the crummy qualitt. 1.5mbps should be fast enough for medium quality under ideal conditions.

You can do the internet connection test and it will show you what your DL speed is. I would want the high quality, i need to up my service to 20M anyway. Takes @ hour+ to DL a demo from the PSN at the moment. One of my 3 kids are always on the PC. When they are on, the PS3 gets 750k. Still good enough for online play but not netflix HD.

If 20mbps is the top tier for your service, you might get more than you paid for. My service is sold as 20mbps...but I have 30mpbs or more durring most of the day, dropping down to 25-29mbps durring the worst of the peak hours. I wish I had more upstream...but I have about all the downstream that I know what to do with.

I just sigend up for the $11.00/month service (well, it's a 2-week trial now). 1 Blu Ray disc at a time with unlimited streaming. I didn't see the option for PS3 streaming yet. Is it because I am still in my trial period? I searched the site and couldn't find any info on it, so I assumed later this month.
I've been streaming to my PC (ethernet hardwired) and I have a 30M cable internet plan. The quality looked pretty bad, compared to my cable tv HD signal. It didn't even look as good as a sample Amazon HD stream. Do you guys think this is also because I'm still in my trial mode?

Reviews and testimonies claim that it is very good.
I cant speak for myself.
I?m still entertaining the idea of getting Netflix after uping my DSL but the news of them potentially delaying new releases by a month does not help them any. I was looking at some of the instant stuff like the (Anama Jap stuff?), my daughters love that stuff. I just don?t want to wait an extra month for BluRay releases.

Streaming to your PC has bad quality for about 2 mins then it adjust itself. It does that on the 360 for me as well. It all depens on your internet speed at the time. It looks a lot better after the automatic adjustment is made.
The PS3 option should be in the Your account&help section. Look for the option to register devices. There should be a watch instantly via your PS3 link where you can order your PS3 netflix disc.

Back in the days before silverlight, you could force it to go to the best setting, and even to download it in advance (with DRM) for slow or unstable internet connections. I have yet to find a good, easy way to do this with silverlight 3.
