I've got a normal 360 with a modded dvd drive, unfortunately for me the 360 started over heating and getting the 3 red lights. I went out and bought myself an elite yesterday and I was wondering if it's possible to put the dvd drive from my old xbox into the elite and stil be able to play my backups? Also, did using the ixtreme 1.6 firmware cause my 360 to break and would putting the flashed dvd drive into my elite break it?
One more thing; anyone know where in the UK that would sell them star shaped T8-T9 screw drivers? I ruined the heads on my old xbox due to using a flat head screw driver and pliers

why not just flash the drive you have in your elite now,,save the old drive as a spare,,
