I tried to flash my 360 with my mac pro using boot camp, I hooked it up via sata but i cannot get the computer to recognise the drive, I have tried it half open etc and installed net framework and portio.

But it doesn't show up anywhere in windows and it isn't in jungle flasher under any of the io ports, no sign of it anywhere, is the mac pro just incompatible or something, do I need to buy extra hardware?

Well I am not sure about Mac Pro's, but do you have the chipset card? AFAIK you can't use just any 'ole sata port.

Don't think that will work, you need a nForce mobo or a via 6421a SATA card.

I think it would be easier and cheaper to send of my drive to be flashed locally.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Not really, you will have to upgrade every 6 months or so.

hmm ok, so you are saying it would be worth investing to do it myself.

Someone told me I need a probe because I have the lite-on 74 blah blah. model, what exactly do I need?
