Hi I was looking to purchase this cart, does anyone know if the DSi i buy has an old firmware will a RSI 1.4 still work on it?

it works for the DSi player and if the firmware it attached is not working, you can try to download some kernels to fix it.

Everyone should read his question.

If you buy a 1.4 enabled R4iGold will it work in a 1.3 software DSi

I believe I have seen somewhere that the answer is no, I have been asked if there was any way of updating the DSi from a file rather than the internet to solve this issue.

R4i in its 38 variants is not the best choice, with Acekard 2i, EZ Flash and M3iZero, you can update the kernal to suit.

Most R4i's will be made obsolete by the next Nintendo update, with the other cards if a solution is found you can update them. Most R4's need a new cart!

I think you could try the acekard 2i.

The price is not the point, a good card must have a good supports team.

That's why the Cyclods is so popular.
