This thread has been created for only one reason. I have been apart of the community of console gaming and the work arounds that have been made available for many a year. But I have done nothing for the community besides offer advice and support.
So I would like to ask a few questions related to when and how you were banned (accepting results as far back as 2006 december.). In an attempt to pull all the strings together, get a definitive answer as to what might have caused your console to be flagged. Yet not me or anyone I personally know has been.
Simple first question of course applying to people who use live.
1. Were you banned??? If yes continue survey and if no please try and not comment as to keep this neat and clean for result testing purposes.
2. Do you use torrents for 360 games. if yes answer 2a-2c, if no continue to 3.
2a. Did you log on to live with the same IP address as the your torrenting ip address?
2b. Did you ever download a 360 game torrent before the release of said game?
2c. Did you ever seed the torrent of a game you have already played on live?
3. Do you use the same gamertag as your general forum/internet alias?
4. Have you ever expressed over live that you have a modified console?
5. Do you tend to have bad burns or error reading the disc's with your xbox? If so how often?
6. What media have you used generally?
7. (if unknown leave blank) What model xbox and dvd drive do you have?
8. What firmware were you currently banned on? If more than one firmware per xbox list all firmwares.
9. Do you use abgx or dvd mulleter to check all of your games? Or no software at all? If yes to abgx what version?
10. Have you ever ripped a game yourself? if yes answer 10a otherwise goto 11.
10a. Have you ever played a game you ripped yourself?
11. Are you on a static or dynamic IP address?
11a. Internet connection info? eg. cable at 10 Mb/s
12. Ever played a wave 4 game?
13. Ever played a game before release? If so asnwer 13a - 13c
13a. Played a game pre release with HDD/memory unit attached?
13b. Played a game pre release with ethernet cord attached?
13c. What wave was the game?
14. Installed ripped games to HDD?
15. Used a modified HDD/memory unit with an unfamiliar amount of storage? Such as a HDD with 98.5 GB of storage or a memory unit with 1.2 GB of storage.
16. Posted a gamercard or used your gamertag on a forum known to supply backups?
17. Used an activate.iso disc? (if you do not know what it is say no)
18. Do you generally keep your xbox setup as if it were unmodifed, such as never unplugging it from live and using all the features, Or do you generally keep it unhooked from live and use little to no features xbox offers?
19. The date it happened?
As it stands this is the end of the survey. I have hundreds of pm's and comments from other surveys I have conducted.
Hopefully afterdawns community and moderators/admins will allow this survey to be answered. So far I have come to a general conclusion as to why people are being banned. I would like about 200 more answers to finalize my conclusion. This survey will help pinpoint if something as silly as your ip is what is flagging your xbox, Or as complex as xbox live reporting your firmware status back to microsoft.
In about a weeks time, Or as long as it takes to get to 10,000 replies across all surveys (at this rate a week), I will report my findings to several key community players in an attempt to target and relieve xbox's hand that is holding the hammer.

wabashman, there was no call for that. All he is simply trying to do is get 1 conclusive answer as to why mooded boxes are getting flagged/banned. Drahnix. you are doing the Xbox community a great service by conducting this research.

By all means go thru those threads and compile the info but you don't seriously think everyone's going to fill out 19 questions and not swarm the place with junk. I think you underestimate how much effort it is just tracking that one thread and keeping the newcomers contained. Maybe you can thru thru that first thread and PM the posters yourself, that's the only way i see it happening, i know i'm not going to spend any more time managing yet another thread... Sorry but that's the way that i see it.
