Does activate iso work on other firmwares?

Is it possible to use activate iso on older firmwares and possibly the new firmwares. For example would I be able to make the activate iso disk and use it on 1.5 or even 1.4 and then play a wave 4 game? Or is the activate iso just made for ixtreme 1.6?

Reason I ask is because I have a lot of burned games with a modified video partition. I'm running on ixtreme 1.4, so in order to play wave 3 games I had to mess with the isos. Well I jut got banned(played with all these modified games for a year and didn't get banned until now) so I'm going to get a new console and get the latest firmware(possibly wait for 1.7) and was wondering if I could use the activate iso to play all those modified games on firmware other than 1.6.

It works with iXtreme 1.6 and 1.61 only.

iXtreme 1.6 has strict compliance with waves 1-3 so you will need to use it to boot any wave 4 games and any new waves (or games patched by n00bs).

iXtreme 1.61 has strict compliance with waves 1-4, so you will only need to use it to boot any new waves that appear in the future (or games patched by n00bs!).

So your current best choices are: -

Hitachi - Use iXtreme 1.51 which doesn't have strict compliance and will boot wave 4
Samsung - iXtreme 1.61
BenQ - iXtreme 1.61
Lite-On - iXtreme 1.6 with activate.iso for wave 4 games
