Having a small problem with Intervideo's DVDCopy2 and I'm hoping someone can help me out. Will try to keep this short. :)
Ok, first I decrypted the DVD I was copying (Spy Game) to the hard drive. So I figured since it's decrypted I can select that as the source folder and burn off directly to DVD-R. Right?! Right. Wrong.
Well, it looked like it went through and finished smoothly, however, when I went to play the disc PowerDVD just laughed and giggled at me saying there wasn't anything that could be played in it. I got curious and found a completely empty disc! No files in explore mode when normally you can see all those VOB's and such in the VIDEO_TS folder.
Well, long story short, I ended up copying the entire movie (compressed and all) directly to the hard drive and burned it using Nero and all went well. It was the first compressed down movie on a DVD-R that EVER played perfectly on my Allegro ABV341 Stand-Alone with no stuttering problems or funky menus crashing. It was absolutely flawless in the execution and looked just about as good as my original. Let me note that this was also burned at 4x in Nero on Ritek G04's on a Lite-on 451S burner with the newest firmware... no other discs burnt at 4x with ANY software would play on my stand-alone without popping back a disc error first.
So my question is - since this program works so sweetly and beautifully is there a way (setting I'm missing somewhere, etc... etc...) to have DVDCopy 2.0 write the files to the DVD-R properly without ending up with what is apparently a blank disc? It'd be nice to save the step, if I have to go through the extra trouble I will for the excellent quality backups but I'm lazy and try to save myself all the work I can. :)
Thank you all very much for any suggestions you have. This computer is also on Windows XP professional running NTFS for the file system.
