Hey guys I have a question my down friend came over by me the other day and brought his unreleased call of duty modern warfare game and played it on my system while I wasn't home. Now I don't want to get banned from live I never had my xbox 360 connected to the internet or live, so I deleted my gamer account from the system deleted my system update and formatted the storage drive. Will this help prevent me from getting banned?

Probably not. If you connect to Live, M$ could probably still see that mw2 was played before release, but if it's a retail copy, not a backup, then you should be fine, cause my buddy has a retail copy, and plays it online and no ban, cause it's legit!

But if it's a burned one, then M$ could probably still ban ya.

His was legit I don't know how they got it already cause it had the label, case and everything. So even if I deleted my gamer profile and reformatted the hard drive and create a new account they will still see it?

If it was legit, then you have nothing to worry about.

You should be fine... I think. I have the PS3 version and Sony never ban early play. I think m$ bans were based on flash drive/bad stealth of early releases... but don't quote me on that (lol).

Not really. Some people have reported playing legit copies early has gotten them banned. Where did he get it?
