HI heres my problem.

I have a benq spoofed as liteon running on IX 1.5.
Last night i extracted the dummy from it. also key inquiry etc.
Flashed it in dos with new IX 1.6.
I never used the ff72 status i just simply selected the drive and flashed now it only plays dvd's.

My question is do i need to get the ff72 status to flash the drive properly in dos?

Also does the tray have to have the half open status when in dos?

im pretty sure you do.why did you not use jungleflasher its very easy.
you can repair this there are guides all over the place.
search for the jungleflasher.pdf it has loads of info on flashing.
im a noob and i have spoofed a benq as a lite on in my own box.
sounds like you maybe didnt change the key into the firmware correctly.
