Hi everyone my xbox console has just been banned by Xbox Live, I am really bummed out about it especially since I was waiting on COD Modern Warefare 2. I have read through a few threads and found nothing helpful on how to remove the ban except to buy a new console. I have an xbox 360 mother board without a dvd drive. Is there anyway I could use this to remove the ban? Could I use the mother boards code and replace it? I would appreciate any help I can get.
Last night at 00:00 o'clock was the release of Modern warfare 2.
My friend bought the original version because we want to play this game often and to reduce the risk of being banned of xbox live.
We inserted the disk and went to multiplayer and he got the message that he was banned, yesterday everything seemed fine! He has been playing a copied version of COD 5 for the past weeks.
Anyone knows how this has happened?
second question.
I have a modded xbox.
I also bought Modern warfare 2 the legal version.
Currently I am not banned from xbox live ( i checked this morning)
-Can I be banned for playing an legal version?
-does microsoft check your firmware or only if you are playing a illegal version?
- can I be banned for playing a illegal version (of another game) last week (so maybe they have already put me on a list or something to be banned?)

XLinkKai and XboxConnect have been around since at least 2004. I used them in 2005/6 on my modded Xbox1. They are no match whatsoever against Xbox Live. They are/will be a last resort to online gaming. With these programs you can basically use the "System Link" function online.

I enjoy it chatting whilst playing end of the day yea your with the same players but it does voice plus you can choose the match manually rather than pot luck like live well anyway its a solution and i like it.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
