Ive had my xbox modded since early january and have been burning my games with iBURN360 for my mac. Just last wednesday or thursday i was banned for the first time.

Now my question is, before iBURN actually burns my game it asks me if i wanted to patch the image and i always said yes because thats what the tutorial i watched off youtube said. Does anyone know what iBURN is patching? I always thought it was patching the stealth files and whatnot and im probably 100% wrong. Can anyone give me some insight on this possibly?

Thanks for your time

I too am on Mac and use iburn360. It's older software so it "patches" the games, I'm guessing it has something to do with the layerbreak (or something along those lines). BUT! If you run your image through abgx after you've patched it (wave 3 and up), the DMI and such will be corrupt and you'll need the wave 3 video iso to repatch it back to normal. I'm not sure if this is detectable by live or not.

That program you have been using is seriously outdated. If you did a search, you'll find info referring to exactly what you're asking. I do not remember exactly what that program patches, but it definitely doesn't patch the proper stealth files to games. you need to be using abgx360 by going to abgx360.net, there is a mac version. Then as far as burning, iBURN should work fine, just don't let it patch anything, that's what abgx is for.

thanks for your replies. I just discovered abgx360 like 3 days ago and have been going through my games and what baffles me is how i stayed on xbox live for so long if none of the games ive played were stealth patched. I have a large amount of burnt games and played pretty much all of them at least once.

Maybe i was lucky for going so long without being banned, i really dont know. guess i better start saving money cause it looks like my pile of backups are almost useless at this point

Microsoft bans when they accumulate data that your console is modded. You could have been flagged way back when you first got it modded and they just decide to ban you now. No one knows for sure.
