While the info is interesting if true, the title of that blog is "Pinoy Cosplay". Epic Fail :(
I didn't notice that until I started seeing people chat in Tagalog. Thank god I didn't see any 'Pino tranny photos while quickly browsing that site.
$38 on new discs -- Check
$15 on burn after burn that showed as a DVD -- Check
$11 on new laser -- Check
$28 on new multimeter -- Check

and the rest. Thats the reason they should reduce thier prices to a level that's fair.

Cant really look at it like that, but I see your point. My 360 is modded and I have around 100 games. Out of those 100 I would have only actually "bought" maybe 5-10. I have had my PS3 since December of 2007, and I have only bought 4 or 5 games for it. Kinda like watching Boxing and MMA Pay per views on the internet. If I couldnt catch a stream somewhere, I still wouldnt pay the $50 bucks to watch it on TV. I would just read about the results, and snatch it via torrent later.

No kidding. The prices are so high that you can't even pay a reasonable amount for a used game. COD 4 was still $30 used about a month ago in local shops. How can one of the most commonly bought games still be so expensive? Oh wait, it's because they jack up the inital cost and screw us over. I'm fine with paying for many games, like COD (all of them), Borderlands, L4D, and many others. But when you have games like Halo ODST which is a total waste, outside of firefight, and madden, which just repackages their game every at the same high cost, it can get to you. They need to realize that when the economy is down, it may be the time to adapt and make games a little more accessible. All the same could be said for Sony.

Microsoft will see how this ban wave effects their revenue in the long run.
Despite their attempts to steer people away from playing backups, they will now lose out on new Live subscriptions & accessory purchases.
Gamers may have been saving money on burning games but they can not create their own controllers, activate Live subscriptions, rig a turnable for DJ Hero, or even piece together a Natal camera in the future. All of these accessories generate revenue for MS. If a buyer can't save in one area, they're bound to seek other avenues (consoles) that pack more for their buck. They will see. 600K+ over.

Game developers will make less money if pirates can download their games and play them on hacked console, so the developers may produce better games for a console that cannot be hacked like the PS3, M$ will lose game developer so they have to ban people. I originally wasnt going to buy MW2 and L4D 2 but since im banned, I had to buy a new console and im not flashing it till January so im gonna buy these games. Me buying these games will benefit game developers more than Microsoft.

I'm in no way glorifying or supporting piracy ... all I'm saying is this ban wave by microsoft occurred to benefit microsoft. Financially the game developers will not be the ones to profit off of this.
Gamers will not buy a game for the 360 if they do not have a 360 console. Having to buy a new console will put money in microsoft's pocket not the game developers. If gamers are limited to purchasing retail discs only ... their choice of buying will be made with more caution and with hesistance. Hence, game developers making less money.

i would have thought that this is an opportunity for someone to make a lot of money. According to new 20 million consoles now banned (or did it say a small % of 20 million?). Surely someone will create an alternative to xbox live and charge £10-30 a year or even a one time only charge. The amount of people signing up would be immense.
Failing that I can see a way around the ban being developed as the hackers love a challenge.
I personally bought a flashed xbox and only play on 5 or so games. I was just about to extend my months trial to a full year when i was banned. Hard lines MS and everyone that has paid for the service.
I am sure your prays will be answered soon enough.

that solution isn't very viable since in order to unlock the live features to connect to another service you'd still need to unban your 360, the only viable way i forsee is somehow improving the leaf, and xbox connect services to attempt to replicate live's capabilitys as much as they can
