ok i have givin up on the probe..it doesnt work i was told that bridging the r707 points on the 74850c would make it give me the key..i have some conductive grease from where i was unlocking AMD processors a while back..would that work. and if i did bridge those points would i really just have to click get key? or do i still have to use the probe?

Though they play an important role in the early stage, the techniques should not be too mechanical, complex or restrictive. If we cling blindly to them, we shall eventually become bound by their limitations.

if the probe doesnt work, then you are either doing something wrong, or didnt make yours correctly. i've never had a problem with mine.

i made it right..i have tested it. it works and i almost get it when i put it between the pads on r707 but not enough connection to get a solid reading before it cancels out.. so im guessing the bridging is what i need to do..i have talked with some people over mIRC and they said that some of those drives dont work with the probe and the only way is the bridge..but i need to know whether or not to use the bridge + probe to collect the key or just bridge?

you dont put it on the pads, you put it in the hole at the 707 point. you should read leerages guide on flashing the 7 series. and whomever told you that some of the 7 series wont work with the probe is a complete retard. probing will work with any 7 series LO (assuming you have a functioning probe).

no really it wont..alot of them with the 2009 hw will not work with the probe..check the 360-scene forums..the only way is with bridging the pads on the r707 sector. and no u dont bridge the hole..just the pads..u can google it if you want.. i almost had it when i bridged the pads with my probe but wasnt a good connection..maybe u have a 2008 model 7 series but if you have a newer 2009 model then no..the probe rarely works

i just flashed two February 09 LOs with no problem at all. stuck the probe in 707 hole like i've always done, hit get key, dummy, identify, and was done with it it.

well i dont know if it is a manufacturing flaw or not.. but there is alot of people on the xbox-scene forum having the same problems with certain 09 LO's u got lucky. it might be a 50/50 chance of getting one of these..pisses me off..i had a BenQ in mine and it RROD'd and i sent it back for repairs and they swapped my fucking drive..so now i have to mod this fucking LO,....and its giving me hell

lol, well you could either solder the points, or use a non-magnetic flatblade screwdriver. or even a paperclip.

ehh im gonna use some conductive grease i use to unlock processors.. its easy and if i slip up i can just whip if off with electronic cleaner.. better safe than sorry. i am not giving up till i have flashed this damn thing..and with 3 levels of stealth; firmware, game disc, and activation disc.

scr34m360 - I finally built a working probe after about 10 tries.

I tried using a 2N4409, 2N3906, 2N2709 and kept getting the bad serial data error.

Bought a 2N2222 transistor and worked on the first try. Make sure that you follow the instructions on the guide to the letter:

If you are a novice at soldering, I suggest that you build the probe.

well im gonna try to use conductive grease first if that doesnt work i will go back over my probe, but like i said when i bridged the r707 points with the probe and clicked get key, it got farther than it had but didnt have good connection so i think that the bridging is my savior..but we shall see gonna go try it in about 5 minutes.
