I have Lite On xtreme 1.6.

If I never play xbox live...does it matter if I patch my games with abgx?

Will these new wave bans affect me if I don't go online.

Also...will these newer games coming out in the future require me to eventually update my xtreme firware for just playing the game on my drive...or for just playing on xbox live.

Please clarify. Thx in advance.

If you never go on Live, then you don't have to use abgx360, but I think it's still a good idea for 2 reasons: -

1. If the ISO has game data corruption, it's not worth burning. You can use abgx360 to check this.
2. If you decided to go online in the future with a flashed box, you're going to want to make sure that all of your games are properly patched and have the correct video wave. If you don't use abgx360, you won't know this for sure.

Console bans won't affect you if you literally never connect your console to Live (or do a ban check via the connection test).

It depends which firmware you have installed now. Some firmwares have strict compliance with certain video waves, so yes, you would have to update the firwmare in the future to boot games directly without using the activate.iso disc (assuming future firmwares still have strict compliance).

Personally I would avoid using Live with a flashed box completely right now. When the ban wave has definitely stopped, then you might be safe(ish) to go online with your current firmware, but personally I'm going to wait and see what happens with the new firmware that c4eva has in development.
