My old drive is apparently not working anymore. Does anyone have any reccommendations for the type of drive to buy and a good place to buy one (I'm in the US)? Also, I was hoping not to spend more than $150 (I'm a broke college student!) Thanks.

You can get a Pioneer 107/A07, arguably the finest drive available right now, for around $120 give or take which is an absolute steal for such a quality drive!

newegg.com is an outstanding place to get hardware from.

Hope this helps :)
