Upgrade from Gen-B to GEn-D problems

Ugh, I 'm probably missing something right in front of me but I gots nothing. I have 5.50 Gen B and when I try to move up to D I start the process and quickly get a blank screen and I have to go back into config and restart. I have seen a few different packages with xgen and stuff and another with a whole mess of numbers and I have had nothing that works. I extract to the root, I end up with a 550 in my root and a game/update and in the xmb I get a 5.50 program but again, I click, it starts and then nothing.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

grab xgen updater Gen-D and GEN D-2 updater there both xgen. Place 550 at ms:0/550 a.k.a root of memory stick. First run xgen 550 Gen D, then the Gen D-2 and make sure you to a flash install/fresh install.

Also, you should upgrade to Gen-B2 prior to even attempting to go to Gen-D.

Thank you! I was not aware there was a B2, once I upgraded to that the GenD and D2 were like butter. Thank you again.
