Hi everyone,
My Lite-on drive is broken not working i am going to buy another the same model, partnumber,fw,.Can I just take out the dvdkey board from old drive and put it in to new drive instead of spoofing,I do not want to spoofing as I use my x box online and do not want banned?
Its just like flashing ixtreme firmware, you have to your connect your dvd drive to your computer, your going to need a connectivity kit to read your dvd drive and extract the dvd keys. Its a pretty complicated.
Darknytes I have a LiteOn with iExtreeme firmware. I have a Inquiry; Identify; Key keys.
How can I restore my original firmware?
Do I need a new same model LiteOn?

You can just take out the PCB board and put it into the new one, there is no need to flash if you are replacing it with the same model. There should be a tutorial online if you search google.
The Samsung and Hitachi boards were able to be unplugged and swapped. That is not so with the Benq and Lite On's. They have wires soldered to the boards. If you wanted to swap boards with either of those drives then you would need to do some very basic soldering. It would be quite easy with a $10 soldering iron. The solder points are quite large.
