ok today i was hit by the ban hammer :(, if i buy a new xbox 360 can i still use my old harddrive and play my saved games on the new xbox/xboxlive, if i have the retail versions of the games. Thanks

Yes, you'll probably have to reformat/recover your Gamertag and lose your saves. But yes, you can use your Hard Drive on another console.
