dreambox 500-c Newbie questions please help !!

i have just got a dreambox off my mate and i wanna hook it up to a sat dish !!

i understand the basics of modding boxes since i have done eurovox etc in the past but this is baffling me !! what software do i need is there any tutorials about cos i can only find ones for other models or for different countries i am in liverpool england

any help would be greatly appreciated thanx in advance

i looked thru that link but 1 thing i picked up on is i have a 500c does this mean i cant use it with a sat dish i dont really want to pick up sky channels just foriegn ones for football !!

do i need a 500s or is there a program to use a sat dish ??

ya mate you need a 500s but you can change the tuner in your box from cable to satellite tuner if your handy with soldering and stuff haven a clue how its done though yal have to search around or buy a new box

do u mean that i have to phsically replace the tuner ?? is there not a programme to change the way the tuner picks up channels ?? i have a eurovox so dont really need another cable tuner !!

i never done it but the reason i no is because i had a 500c
and needed to change it for a 500 t and the only way to do it is physically change it
but i sold the box luckily and bought another terrestrial reciever instead
but it will be hard sell your box with n3 around the place so its just one root ya could go down and swap them

Not worth the hassle of trying to change tuner, sell the 500c to someone in the uk( they may get a bit longer on cable) and buy a 500s!
