I tried searching but couldn't find anything on this particular drive. Is it a good one for burning 360 games? As reliable as the other pioneer ones?

pioneer drives have yet to let me down ever.buy one you will have no problems i have a sata version of that drive it is excellent.
there are loads of reviews of this drive on google.

I can only get hold of the IDE version. Would I get any issues if I used an IDE to Sata converter?

probably better to use it as ide it will be ok as it has a decent cache onboard.

I have the DVR S18 MBK and it is awesome. I get burn speeds as high as 10x on DL media and never a coaster.

I would highly recommend getting a SATA burner, though. SATA everything, for that matter. IDE won't be around for much longer, and if you ever want to upgrade your PC you won't be able to keep the burner unless you get a motherboard that has IDE, which may limit your options.

i agree entirely sata is the best option if available.
