Hi Guys

This is my first post so please be patient !

I have had an Xbox360 with firmware around 3 years now and it has just died on me so looking to get another. I am not sure what firmware was on my previous one but it ran all games I created using the Kreon firmware and associated drive. Before my Xbox died I tried to backup my legal copy of COD6 but it would not run it so my questions are as follows;

1. Which firmware will run all the latest games that I legally backup using my Kreon supported drive, not downloaded?
2. Is 1.4 better than 1.6? as I have been told,
3. Why doesnt COD6 work using the kreon backup process?
4. Can games no longer be backed up this way?

Sorry guys it has been ages since I backed anything up or needed a new xbox so been out of it for a while.

1. What drive is in your 360? The latest firmware is ixtreme 1.61 with a new ixtreme LT on the way. 1.61 is only for Ben Q and Samsung drives and it'll run everything except left 4 dead 2

2. Who told you that? of course it's not

3. Call of Duty 4 is a Wave 4 game, you must upgrade your 360 to a higher ixtreme firmware.

4. Yes they can, you just need to upgrade your 360's firmware

i have the same setup ie kreon 162d and backup creator they work well for me.
the latest firmware is always the best.also use abgx360 to check game iso's before burning.
1.61 is the latest for most drives but the lite on drives are still waiting for the new firmware.
there are many tuts here which you may find useful.
