Don't think there are too many emulators you will be able to play, and the ones you can wont have a network play option.
AFAIK you will be limited to stuff like megadrive/genasis at most.

it will be fine. Luckily, the PS3 hasn't been hacked yet, so all the nasty little pirates can't wreck the system just yet. The only way you *could* get banned is by being an a**hole on PSN or hacking the gamesaves etc.

2nd ibizagti, Getting reported by other people is about the only way to get banned. Having a Bad gamer tag or vulgar / racist remarks can get you reported. Probably does not happen near enough. If you ever want to get banned, the best way is to go to Home and act like a fool. Foolish remarks on COD is expected but Home is a laid back kind of place where people have nice conversations. Kind of a meet and great kind of place.

I would not think that Sony would get involved in that. Would be hard to prove anything.
As far as gamer tags, someone reported someone here named Ce-u-pe. Spelt a little different but it was reported and appearently Sony agreed that it was offensive. I have seen much worse tags that have not gotten banned. Play nice while killing people.

They definatly do ban people for scamming, ive seen it happen quite a few times, what happens is the person who gets scammed, claims the person stole their personal info and took their account.

Ok. I assume that the game share stuff would be a good way to scam someone. I'm sure Sony could see that the account had moved to another PS3 to justify the ban.

But if you're gonna make an "offensive" name, DO NOT get on Playstation Home.. Those little bas***** will report you in a heart beat.

hello all.
I myself had almost been banned. what happened was I made a $5 purchase through the PSN with my credit card, but what happened was there was a mess up with my card and my payment did not clear. when I called sony to tell them what happened they said my gamer tag woluld be banned if the payment did not clear, they said to reinstate it I would have to write a letter explaining my situation and then is would be put under review which could take a few months to fix!. Luckily I called my card company back and they said they will force the transaction through with a small fee. PSN got their money in time thank god!
So yes it can happen if your not carefull with the psn payments

The good news is that even if you somehow manage to get banned from PSN, you can just open up another account for free; you don't need to buy a new system and another year of pay service for a total of $360.
I know that a few people have gotten banned from PSN for trying to scam people through the messaging system...using the same scams they used to use with spam. However, the originators of the PSN-specific chainletters seem to get away with it.

Thats not always the case with PSN scams, in those case's the PS3 is mac banned, so creating a new account wont work.

Not entirely true. I got a console ban not a GT ban. So I still have my years worth of Xbox live.
