So, what unbanned users here are going to connect and update there system? Is it REALLY that risky..I mean for the people who have survived the ban wave thus far

I'm going to stay connected and get this update. I don't think there's any more risk than being connected right now. After reading many of these ban stories from the other thread [url=http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-152/ms_ban_hammer-10_30_09-810424/][/url], it seems every single safety measure taken has resulted in a banned console. My conclusion is that no matter how safe you think you are or what you do to keep yourself safe, you aren't safe! The boogeyman is out there!

besides c4eva working on a new ixtreme fw, their's nothing that's changed in the mod community, so if your not banned yet i don't see why the update would have anything new in detection imo

That won't matter...

If you are going to update I recommend flashing to original firmware if you can and then update and flash back once you are updated.
