2 questions concerning burning xbox 360

I use Imgburn to burn.
Is it wise to verify data when you are burning? I wonder this maybe the disc or laser gets too hot or tired after a long period?? So i wonder wether to enable this.
2nd question when I open imgburn it says in the message window:
SPTD can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.
What does that mean?

Verifying burned discs is always a good idea. That's why the option is checked by default.
The SPTD driver gets installed alongside certain programs such as Daemon Tools. The message speaks for itself - it can have a detrimental effect on drive performance, so if you're getting bad burns, uninstalling SPTD is one thing you can try. If you do need to uninstall it, uninstall the app that it was bundled with first, then use the appropriate SPTD uninstaller for your version of Windows.

Yes I use deamon tools lite...
Is that a general dvd driver or something?
Anyway I will un-install deamon tools.
But I googled and some and only found outdated links concerning SPTD uninstaller...
Would you happen to know where I can get it?
Another small question at imgburn settings I see interface it is set on SPTI microsoft. Is this the best option?

Thanks a million for the fast reply. and for the links, I just want to be sure so I remove stdp.
I know it's a good idea to close background programs while burning, and I practically have expect media player classic(sort of windows media player, this should be ok right?
And as for other imgburn settings, are there any I can optimize concerning xbox 360? or default will do?

Default ImgBurn settings are perfect. All you need to do is set the speed of the burn.
I do other stuff on my PC while discs are burning, but only things that don't use a lot of resources, such as browsing the web or watching a video (I also use Media Player Classic). You want to avoid things that cause a lot of hard drive churning and apps that uses a lot of resources. Obviously, don't try defragging your hard drive or running a full virus scan while you're burning a disc, lol.

Could it be that mediaplayer makes too much load on the HD while burning?
That is a serious problem as far as burning discs goes. It can't read from the hard drive fast enough to burn at the selected speed. What are the specs of your PC? What programs are running in the background?

Processor: E6400 @ 2.6 Ghz
Ram: 2GB ddr2 667
Harrdive: 1.7 gb free
Commit charge 750-900 (the number you get when you view ctrl+alt+del)
Windows xp sp 3
Geforce 7900 GTO 512 MB
Running 2x MSN live, 1 x utorrent, 1 bitlord, 1 x windows media player and an iexplore window. No virusscanners or any other processes I have 32 process running.
Hmm the disc is currently verifying, it looks fine so far... I hope the disc will be useable..
I also looked around at imgburn site and they said it could be a dma issue, so i looked. and my primary ide channel is running at device 0 ultra dma mode 2.
And secondary ide channel is running at device 0 ultra dma mode 4.
Seems fine to me right?

I would close the torrent programs for sure. They are probably what is causing the disk activity that is giving you that error. Could also try freeing up some space on the hard drive(although theoretically shouldn't be causing that issue).

Ok I will, but I think it's strange because I always(used) to burn and don't have this problem.
Also when I listened closely it sound like the pc is unpacking a 8gb file when I burn. The harddrive making lots of noice.
And it returned this error:

My first dvd succeeded eventhough the errors waiting for buffers to recover.
My 2nd dvd failed as with the screenshot above.
My 3rd dvd is now verifying got around 10 waiting for buffer errors...
May it be wise to increase the buffer? As I read it the buffers are too small?

Yea what's ur point?:P u dont need harddrive space to burn? other then the buffer which is 40 mb.
