The best rrod fix?

I have been banned and got rrod after playing mw2 for a few hours. So I just wanted to ask that which is the best rrod fix. Is it the penny trick or the x-clamp fix? Or anything else. Links would be appreciated :)

I did my first Xclamp fix at the weekend. It was a 2006 console, that had never been modified. I Had it given from a friend to see if i could fix it and i gave it a whirl. 1hr later and the unit is up and running fine.

I'm not sure if the Xclamp fix would work for every permitation of the RROD but it would definitely be worth a try.

I've flashed it straight away with IX1.61 (samsung drive) and i've connected it up to live, and not put any media in it what so ever. Its been on now since Sunday, at the dashboard and is still not banned. (I have a second xbox so i thought i would do this out of interest and see if it gets detected)

The best "fix" is a reball or (proper) reflow. People seem to have limited success with the xclamps replacement, but I think it's only a temp solution. I've personally fixed my '07 console with the xclamps replacement (about 3 months ago) and done a primitive reflow and the system works like a charm, it gets approx 4 hours of play a day and haven't seen any issues.
