Hey guys I just got an xbox 360. I was just about to get it flashed when I came through here to see what it was all about and found out about M$ being able to detect modded consoles and the banhammer going around. So obviously I haven't modded it as of yet.

One thing I did realize with this update..( bought fear 2 and mw2 ) is that EVERY time I go to play online it says there is an update for that game and if I don't do the update it will disconnect me from Live. I don't know if that is something everyone else is getting or not but I was thinking perhaps they are keeping constant track of consoles every time they go to play any game online and putting the update on there again to see if someone found a way around it etc. I do the update every time and every time it comes up again.

Just return it when the return policy is almost up. ya know? just something to hold you over until the dust clears. but if your going to mod it why not just keep it and also keep it unmodded until more research has been done and people are figuring out what needs to be done?

Try clearing the cache on your hard drive and see if the next time you go online and update if it keeps looping and making you update over and over.

thats what I plan on doing. just keeping it till there's another way.

as for the looping update it doesn't bother me really I was just putting it out there to 1. see if it was the same of other people that weren't banned and 2. Point it out to those that are banned and trying to find a way around...
