this error is usually bad media
you get this if you use a magnavox dvd
and this dvd is not compatible with the backup launcher, but don't give up or throw away the disc it will work with the wii

there are 2 ways to fix this
1 if you install the multiboot channel
2 if you install starfall v0.5

1 if you install the multiboot channel you have to use the wad manager to install it
download here

2 if you install starfall v0.5 you can not use startpatch it does not work for this so if your on firmware 4.0, 4.1, or above you need to use the firmware downgrader and downgrade to firmware 3.2

i found this out after 6 hours of trying different for backup launchers and patches and i found out these two work.

the one i like is the starfall because it allows you to play the game straight from the disc menu and you can set it to remove alot of checks which disable homebrew, so you can easily run homebrew with this
