ok heres the situation, i have a Gioteck EX-01 Bluetooth Headset i can just about make out other people on mw2 (modern warfare 2 not mech warrior 2) then my mate bob was round who is also a friend of my mate terry who i was in party mode with, so that bob could hear terry i switched the output from the headset to system default (my surround sound system) the difference was amazing i could hear most people clearly and terry could be understood without me needing to ask him to repeat himself unless there were explosions. so i realised that the cheap and nasty aproach was a mistake. to confirm this i have a proper stereo bluetooth headset for my phone (a sony ericson headset) and i paired it with the ps3 and played some practice games, my god people were crystal clear! but this headset can only pair with one device at atime and uses inear headphohes not good for gaming ofcourse. so there lays my problem, i need to get a decent headset what should i get ?
*a phone one (proberly too pricy mine is a £60 headset)
*Gioteck: Ex-02 Next Gen Wireless Headset (one up from mine but im a little loathed to get it)
*the official sony one (im leaning towards that at the mo)
*the new madcatz call of duty one (looks like the official one with a sticker on it )
* other

someone on another thread asked about using the ps3 eye as a headset (not straping it to thier heads with duct tape but just sitting it besides them) i tested this out and i was causing feedback and echos s thats not an option! unles im feeling mean :)

all and any advice as always is appreciated

I'd say go with the Sony one, think they're around £25 in Game.

I bought a vodafone branded about a year back for £25. It was spot on and worked perfectly, at least untill I realised 99% of the people on PSN are idiots and stopped using a headset at all...

yeah a lot of the time i just mute all but my mate (coming from 360 to ps3 the main thing i miss is private chat grrrrr) though there have been non idiots on there that i havent muted, had quite a lot of fun on one map chatting to a clan called "wet!" this was while using my phones headset

theres also some people who are certainly not old enough to buy an 18cert game!

but yeah i am still leanong towards the sony official headset if only as more stuff apears on the dashboard when using it (connectivity strength being a main one)

I realy like my new logitech headset...it is a true headset with a over-the-head band and a beam microphone. 3 different ear covers...I use the super-soft one. Voice quality is very nice; it is dependant on the other side of course, but when talking to my friend who has the same unit, quality is much better than on a cell phone. It can be worn on the left or the right, and is very adjustable. There are a lot of negative reviews online, but I think this is because people confuse toe PS3 version with the PC version (PC version is junk). Also, logitech is known for using cheap wiring; so I suspect most of the failures could easily be fixed by anyone with a soldering iron and a steady hand. (my logitech speaker system lost the center channel to a bad wire that I replaced myself, my 1st gen G5 also failed, also because of a bad wire that was easily replaced)

Overall, the audio quality is about the same as a PS3 headset...but it is far more comfortable, cheaper, and it is corded, so no charging is needed.
