I just recently tried to have my psp 2001 star wars edition modded and when the pandora batt and mem stick are in it says that it is already modded at like 5.0 m033 something. also when i try to mod it it brings up the system restore menu. I have never had this done before . when i put my reg battery and reg mem stick it says that the firm ware version is 3.95 can some one help me? Thanks

Get the update file to 5.00m33-6 - update this and you may find it will solve the issue, I believe it was an issue with 5.00m33-4, just get the update file, put it in the folder PSP/Game, run it using the standard battery.

Well best advise, use this guide, it takes you through everything and you don't need the pandora, the Star wars ones should be hackable but it also gives you pspident to identify the motherboard

Sounds to me like you are running the custom firmware off of the memory card.

You need to actually downgrade the psp.

Put the memory stick in
Hold down the L trigger and keep holding it
Put in the Pandora battery
See if an install menu comes up.

Let me know what comes up. Just remember on a slim you can NOT go lower than 3.71m33. Hopefully the option to install 5.00m33-6 is there for you.
