I have a modded xbox360. I have been playing off line cause when i do sign in i will get banned. Now my 360 has a red lite and says error 74. I can still send it back to get fixed but is that a good idea. Its still under warranty. Will they be able to see that its modded or can any trouble come out of it.

Does the console look like it has been tampered with? Is your warranty still intact? If it looks good, then I think its OK to send it in.

Yes when it was modded all the stickers and stuff were put back so it didnt look like it was messed with. Also do you think it will stay play my back up games after they fix it?

Well if you revert your firmware you won't be able to play backups. You will probably need to get it flashed again.

if your xbox has been flagged or if there is any evidence that it has been tampered with then they will send it back to you unrepaired and they will also make you pay for the postage

over 90 percent of e74 errors are said to be a problem with the scaler chip in the av cable itself. i would recommend that you try another cable before you do anything. i actually had that problem once myself. got a new cable and it worked fine. make sure your cable is plugged in the back good, if it is take it out blow into it a few hard times to free any dust from it. then put it back in and try again. if it still does not work try another cable. if a friend has one try it. you can buy a new cable from ebay about 5 dollars. just make sure thats the problem first.

??? Who told you this? E74 is an issue with the ANA chip or sometimes GPU.

Or you could flash back to original firmware then but a warranty sticker off ebay. You'll get your xbox fixed AND unflagged :D

Unflagged? Once flagged, you're flagged. You cannot get unflagged. Give me a break.
