Hi all,

I know this is a really lame question but I have done a search & cannot find an answer, so thought I would take the plunge and ask here.

I have been offered a secondhand 360 from a friend who fixes & then sells them but as he isn't up to speed on the whole modding thing, I wasn't sure if there was anyway of finding out if a console has been modded before other than by sticking in a backup & seeing if it boots.

Does anyone know here of any other way, as I do want to get another 360 asap, esp as the new season of 1 vs 100 is starting lol.

Putting a backup and seeing if it boots is the easiest way.

The only other way (as far as i know) is to open up the console, get the dvd drive, connect to your pc and dump the firmware from it.

The latter is alot more complicated then just connecting it to pc, but you get the idea :)
