Hey guys, first post (woot). Probably should of joined up sooner than this but hey.
Anywho, I have a problem. I was one of many banned from Xbox Live recently, and I think for as much as I use it for gaming, whats it really matter right. Anyways, the problem is that all my arcade games I downloaded are now only trial versions for whatever reason. I cant seem to get them as the full versions, which I have already paid the M$ points for.
Any ideas how I can put this right, short of buying a new Xbox and all that jazz.
XBLA games are protected by DRM which ties them to the console they were originally downloaded on and the gamertag that downloaded them.
If you download a bunch of games using one console, then for some reason you switch to another console, you will need to be signed into Live with the gamertag that downloaded them in order to play them, otherwise they revert to trial versions. Obviously you can't sign into Live to do this on a banned console.
There's a license transfer tool on Microsoft's site. This allows you to transfer licenses from one console to another, enabling you to play games offline and with any gamertags on the console that you transfer the licenses to, but this can only be used once per year and when you use the tool, you need to be connected to Xbox Live with the console that you're transferring the licenses to, which again is not possible with a banned console.
This is why you should make sure that your licenses are up to date. It's too late for you now. All you can do is get a new console and transfer the licenses over to that, then you'll be able to access the content again.
