Hi. I dug out my PSP after a year or two and now completely confused about what to upgrade to.
I have the PSP fat ver 1.5 and it has 3.90 M33-2

i was in the same boat as you 3 years did not turn my psp on, i followed the steps from this http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-149/...__c1003-813743/ and it worked perfectly only thing was there were a few of the steps that needed to be updated before i could go to the next. made my psp like a new toy again. hope this helps.

that thread has all the links to download stuff.

Since you are using a 1.5 based psp, you might not want to update to the GEN firmware just yet if you have emulators that you are running. the new GEN firmware does not support 1.5 yet. They will probly come out with a patch for it soon, I hope.

If it doesn't make a difference to you, there are some new emulators out there and 5.50gen-d2 is supposed to be good.

i'm not sure why people keep saying that gen firmware does not support 1.5 yet i have two phats setting here 1.5 based running gen-d2 could you explain to me why they are not supported?
