A quick preface; I own two PSP 2000's, one I have recently upgraded successfully from 5.00 M33 to 5.50 GEN D-2 to play the newer games, and my second, I've had sitting at 5.00 M33 for a long time. Today, I took my second PSP and followed the exact same steps to get it to 5.50 GEN D-2, however, when I went to start the 5.50 GEN-A updater it showed up as a corrupted file. I then went on to try a few different options (including reflashing, different updaters, etc.) only to find that the only updater that would work was 5.03 GEN-A. I installed that, and then went on to try to install 5.03 GEN-B, only to encounter the same issue: the updater shows up as corrupt.
At this present time I have 5.03 GEN-A with ChickHen R-2 installed (which I can not for the life of me get to work no matter how many times I do the image trick). This is the PSP I have, it's a 2000 ZN, and I am unsure of the motherboard:

My question becomes: is there any way for this PSP to play any of the new 5.55 OFW required games such as Gran Turismo, Armored Core, etc.? I can not get them to work, so I hope I am missing a step somewhere...
