Hi all, this question may have been answered elsewhere but i have looked and cant find an ideal answer...

Basically i have a R4DS card with a Sandisc 2GB memory card. This has been working fantastically for the last 12 months but now when i try to add new games to the card they do not function properly.

I am currently trying to get the new Mario and Luigi game to work, it loads up but then you cant do anything esle.

Can anybody reccomend a fix or a solution please?

Yeah, buy a new flashcart.

Many newer games will never work with the original R4.

For some of the newer games a simple patch is required (Arm7)to bring them up to speed (or rather down to speed) with the earlier carts.

I use the "Max Crass Method" which you can Google, but if it looks a little too intimidating, PM me with your mail addy and I'll try and help further.

What i will do firstly is look into one of the new flashcards.

What would people reccommend to use so all new and old games will work?

Seriously, the patch is a piece of cake and can be done in under a minute, I'm just not sure if I'm allowed to post links up to such things as this is my first evening on here.

The ARM7 patch won't work on newer games (ex. Mario and Luigi: Inside Bowser)

There is no new firmware being developed for the Original R4DS, therefore newer games like Battle of Giants: Dragons will NEVER work on an original R4DS.

Hence my recommendation to get a new flashcart.
