haha i heard about the new self destructing ban hammer think it came with a dashboard update...

If you are flagged for a ban and you sign in to xbox live, you will be banned
If you are not flagged for a ban and you sign in to xbox live, you will not be banned

Doesnt matter, if you have played backup offline, then your xbox will send the data to M$ when you next login.

If you play backups offline with a spoofed dvd drive, then put ur original back in for live... will this get you banned?

If you have played a back up offline, then your xbox will send the data to M$ when you next login. So yes, you still risk getting banned.

I haven't done this yet, maybe it isn't a good idea. I've had games scratch inside my XBOX360 and not work after that. They should have a way to replace damaged discs at a low cost like $1. If I cant back up my $h!t then why all these companies sell the gear to do it? My Xbox360 is the damn reason there scratched in the first place... I dont wana put all my new original $60 discs in it everytime if I dont have to..
