Seidenberg says that popular online video site Hulu will be gone in two years, as users move on to something new or technology changes. the only way hulu isn't around is if net neutrality dies, or if verizon pays the govt to shut them down.

Verizon isn't the only company that might pay the government to shut Hulu down...

Hulu is great as long as Hollywood backs off. Already I have to wait an entire week to watch one of my shows. Others I can watch near instantly.

The thing that keeps me away from Hulu is that they never seem to change content...it was the same 5 episodes of the simpsons for like 8 months so I finaly stopped going. To wait just a week is a massive improvement.

This is silly. Yes, eventually people won't want to watch TV on their big panels with home theater... oh, wait, really? I don't doubt that as the digital generations mature and the video generations die off there will be major shifts in viewing "acceptances" (to lower quality experiences, especially for disposable TV). But that ain't happening in two years.

hulu is a good example of the mess we're in. it is a great service, where the ads should be enough to pay for itself, but then the greed sets in. next, they'll want you to subscribe, but then neither drop the adds nor offer up more content. it is just sad. i would like to apply the same abilities of the 80s and 90s to nowadays but with better tech. i want to be able to record and archive what i subscribe to. i did it with cable and a vcr and i want that with what we have now. i should be able to dump full 1080p onto my computer and make my own blurays. there is nothing wrong with that. it is not stealing. i paid for it and just because the times change, they shouldn't be able to skew it in their favor.
